The client
Komoot is a thriving digital platform for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts around the world. It’s driven by a simple goal: to help people explore more of the outdoors wherever and however they want.
Komoot’s mobile apps and platform provide advanced route planning and navigation tools. At the same time, a content-rich feed of unique stories and adventures inspires its community of over 35 million users to explore and share their outdoor experiences and recommendations.
The scope
In 2022 — as part of a brand communication project called Adventure Is — the goal was to promote komoot as the No.1 platform for adventure inspiration within cycling and outdoor media outlets.
In order to achieve this goal, our strategy included traditional PR activations, advertising campaigns — banners, print ads — and media partnerships.
Alvento Destinations
Media partnership
Alvento Destinations is a collection of 13 finely curated bikepacking trips in Italy that included a story, a guide and a komoot branded map with QR code — that leads to the digital version of the content published on the media partner’s profile on the komoot platform. The aim of this activation is to inspire readers and encourage them to use komoot as the best place for finding, planning and sharing adventures.
The agency support also included editorial post-production to ensure that the brand is represented properly and consistently.
