Community Activation
The client
Held in Mantua, Italy, BAM – Bicycle Adventure Meeting – has been the largest European festival for bike travellers since 2014. A program with social rides, workshops, discussion panels and music gathers thousands of cycling enthusiasts for a three-day event that focuses on adventure and bikes.
The scope
For this client, we developed a campaign that targeted bikepackers in Germany, which included scouting people from the community with authentic profiles on their social media, creating a #roadtobam bikepacking route from Milano to Mantova for content creation and hosting two events during the festival – a Women’s Ride and the first ever Pizza Gravel Ride in Italy.
The activation culminated with a story published on bikepacking.com written by Emily Mackenzie, one of the community members that participated in our campaign.
Women’s Ride
Hosted by Emily MacKenzie, Kasia Szomborg and Tatiana Myk – the BAM Women’s Ride was an opportunity for all women identifying, non-binary persons and trans women to connect with an international community and to share their experiences and the love for cycling. The Berlin and Nürnberg trio hit epic gravel roads and enjoy memorable moments with the BAM people.
